Description: Men's early 1800s bronze velvet Victorian dress coat with rope lace trim. This beautiful dress coat exemplifies the elegance of the time. The soft velvet is accented with heavy rope detail. The neck hooks together as well as the waist cover. The neck is missing on of the eyes of the original hook and eye sets. The backside is accented with rope and hanging details. Each of the hanging details has loose rope from age, but none are missing or torn. Every imperfection mentioned could be easily fixed by a professional restorer, but we do not want to alter the original condition of this piece.
