Description: 1970s Yellow Nylon and Suede Nike "Waffle Trainer" Sneakers with Blue Swoosh. These sneakers are in never worn condition with inspection sticker on bottom of the right waffle sole. The Nike "Waffle Trainer" was first produced circa 1974. The waffle sole design was invented by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman. Both soles have a Patten No. 3793750 / 4098011. There is no date of manufacture code in the shoes. The back of the Nike tounge tag reads: "Nike sport shoes are manufactured to the exact specifications of the champion athletes throughout the world. the Nike name and swoosh stripe are your guarantee of quality. Make in Korea."
